Establishing a Good Contact Lens Fit

It starts with a thorough eye exam to ensure the most up-to-date prescription and rule out any  pre-existing conditions that could interfere with contact lens wear.

Fitting lenses to your lifestyle
We will determine the best fitting lens based on your lifestyle needs and the shape and health of your eye. In most cases, you’ll have the opportunity to try lenses on the same day as your exam. You can even go home with a few samples before making a final decision.

Follow up fittings
We follow up the initial fitting and then make any necessary changes in fit or materials to get you the best possible fit. We teach all our patients proper contact lens care and also possible consequences if proper care is not taken. Then we continue with long-term follow-up to monitor the condition of the lenses and to ensure that proper hygiene is being maintained.

Our Contact Lens Services:

  • Older man undergoing eye exam with diagnostic vision machine.
A contact lens exam will include both a comprehensive eye exam to check your overall eye health, your general vision prescription and then a contact lens consultation and measurement to determine the proper lens fit.
  • Silver rectangular container labeled “Contact Lenses” upright.

  • Smiling woman applying contact lens while looking upward.
Disposable contact lenses are generally considered to be far superior in comfort and wearability than hard and rigid lenses.
  • Woman gently placing a contact lens onto her right eye.
When it comes to contact lenses, one-size-fits-all is not only an uncomfortable, but also a potentially damaging, concept that can result in serious vision and eye issues. It is very important that the measurements of your contact lenses are 100% accurate to ensure a comfortable, healthy fit.
  • Young boy inserting a contact lens while looking in mirror.
With daily disposable contact lenses, you are able to experience crystal clear vision every day, without the worry or stress of proper storage and cleaning.
  • Young girl holding a rope and looking thoughtfully to the side.
Contact lens overuse is an increasingly common eye condition that has significant potential to do serious damage to your eyes, and lead to major eye and vision issues in the future.
  • Blonde woman inserting a contact lens into her right eye.
Challenges such as astigmatism, presbyopia, keratoconus and dry eyes needn’t be a barrier to contact lens wear, but they do require more time and patience.
  • Close-up of blue eye with long eyelashes and visible iris.
... Want to change, enhance or illuminate your eye color? Want WILD eyes?
  • Open contact lens case with lenses, tweezers, and solution cap.
Fortunately for those who don’t like the look, feel or inconvenience of reading glasses, there is another option. Bifocal and multifocal lenses are also available in contact lenses in both soft and rigid varieties.
  • Smiling woman with bold lipstick winking playfully at camera.
These rigid lenses aren’t as popular or well-known as soft lenses, but they offer the advantages of durability, crisp vision and high oxygen permeability.
  • Woman gently touching her eye while looking into the distance.
Challenges such as astigmatism, presbyopia, keratoconus and dry eyes needn’t be a barrier to contact lens wear, but they do require more time and patience.
  • Close-up of older man's face highlighting eye and wrinkles.
“I can’t wear soft contacts; I have astigmatism.” This once-true statement is now simply a myth.
